I've noticed that there aren't all that many options for monster enemies if you use SV sprites in battle. Sure, there're a few here and there, and you can make humanoid beastmen using my generator pieces, but actual monster sprites seem limited.
It's time to change that. First up, a new hero's usual foe: rats.

First, let's get some details out of the way. With the newest MV update (1.3.3), an update to the generator was added that allows for the pieces to be numbered in non-sequential patterns. That means that I don't have to worry about skipping numbers, and gives me more freedom when working. So I've decided to renumber my pieces and put them into the 600s, so that they will no longer conflict with other people's pieces. I'll be updating the files this week, and they will reflect that.
What that means is that you will need to update your MV to 1.3.2 at least to use my updated pieces. So please remember that when grabbing the parts. Now onto the new creations. I realized that my orc bases could be modified to turn into a different creature, so here are the results: long-nosed, green-skin, goblins. So have two versions, one without hair and one with an awesome mohawk. Hey folks, hiddenone here with a look at what I'm currently working on. First off, let's take a look at a new beastman that will soon join the group: A bright and perky fox! Its sprite and SV battler pieces are just about finished, so with some final checks they will be ready to roam your games! Speaking of SV battlers, look how I found gathering dust in my computer's closet! A spooky skeleton to fight, or fight with! Now this poor dude still has a lot of work left before he's ready (right now he's mostly a floating skull), but hopefully I'll get him in tip-top shape soon. On the sprite front, I've been thinking of making monster sprites to match some of MV's default enemies. I've been working on a spider sprite, but I'm not sure what to do next. So let me know what you'd like to see!
What monster sprites should I do next? What generator pieces do you want to see? Leave a comment, and let me know! |
